Madison Lofts Update

The low profile Madison Lofts projects is set for completion and ready for touring this May.

Here are a few highlights for this project:

• Concrete and steel building with brick and glass exterior
• Units feature 16' foot lofted celings with wide-planked hardwood floors in the living rooms
• Sleeping lofts will have 7-8" ceilings with a walk in closet.

From the description, Madison Lofts construction seems to be very similar to 19th Ave Lofts but a little bit more upscale.

from what i've seen in the 2 19th ave lofts i've been in, the 19th ave lofts are more upscale for less than 1/2 the price (on initial offering) - no exposed decking anywhere, it was glulam beams and car decking. also, i think the 19th ave lofts were concrete on both sides, you almost never hear neighbors even when there is loud music playing. party walls w/ cheap sound insulation will not allow that. the studs aren't even offset, so there will be direct transmission between units. who designs these things?!? the stairs are over-designed, look really clunky in those photos.

granted much nicer views, better fenestration system and less chance of getting mugged...
