What about Enso? I think Enso is a bit cooler and much more well designed than these... but hey, I am a bit biased!

I agree. Enso is cool. I do not care for 1 Hotel in the renderings or for Escala. Maybe they will be better when finished.

Escala looks like a bad version of an alien building in Halo3.

I am puzzled about the look of the Four Seasons. They went from a sleek mostly glass building to having brick on the lower levels where the hotel rooms are. I preferred the earlier look and cannot tell why they changed it to look worse IMHO. I heard rumors it was to save cost. Does anyone know what the real story is? It seems unfair that they would cut costs that way with the prices they charge.

You should update the Escala pic, that rendering is a year old and the current one looks much nicer (and more color accurate).

Updated :)

I have to admit to being partial to Fifteen Twenty-One because I am a buyer there, but what is most interesting to see the towers that have been designed under the recently adopted "tall and slender" zoning code, matched up against the those designed under the old code. Those in the first category look like real towers, those in the second category are almost as wide as they are tall. Short, wide, fat buildings are not as easy on the eyes as tall and slender ones. This little shootout is a fun idea Wendy - how about another shoot out with some other towers that you have not included, like ICON Tower, 5th + Madison, Enso, etc.

Hey Wendy. I started up a new blog. Come visit if you get a chance.
