Concord

Located on the north end of Belltown and only two blocks away from the new Olympic Sculpture Park is the Concord condo. Built in 2000, Concord is a two tower 13 story building designed by Driscoll Architects, a local firm who also designed The Meridian on First Hill.

If you are in that neighborhood, it’s hard to miss Concord’s appealing outdoor water features on both side of the entrance. The exterior architectural design is very “Vancouver-ish” with lots of glass and sturdy concrete. Large windows can be seen from all sides of the building allowing a good amount of sunlight into most of the units.

Concord has a diverse selection of floor plans ranging from studios, one bedroom, one bedroom plus den, two bedroom and 7 penthouse suites. All units have access to decks or balconies with penthouse units having their own private roof deck.

Units feature high end finishes, granite slab countertops and stainless steel appliances. How could we not have any of these finishes nowadays? Overall, a solid high-end condo that, despite it’s numerous young competitors, has continued to prove itself over the years as one of the most desired condos in Seattle. 

Pros

- Comprehensive amenities and premium construction

- Proven track record with regards to high physical quality of the building as well as consistently strong resale market demand

- Walking distance to the Sculpture Park

- Higher floor westerly face units have unobstructed view of the Puget sounds

Cons

- Price per square feet is higher than most condos built around the same time.

- A bit further from Belltown core than other Belltown condos.

We may have snagged the best one bedroom unit in the building, 1105. Unbelievable space needle view and partial water view as well. The one thing that you get with the Concord is pleasant consistent service from the concierge desk and a onsite manager who takes a great deal of personal pride in the upkeep of the building. Both the lead concierge and on-site manager have been there since 2000. That is a difficult thing to rate but the group at Concord is a 10.

Great point on the concierge. It's easy to assume they're all the same (they either have it or not right) but it's incredible how bad the concierge service is in some of the most expensive Belltown condos.

Oddly enough, I totally agree. Having visited friends in most of the condos in BT at one time or another, I have to say Concord seems best in terms of presence, professionalism, and helpfulness. What I don't get is I thought the condos just outsourced this service to a few large management firms so I'm not sure why Concord's should be any better than the others?

The reason that the Concord has the best concierge service in Seattle is that the residents expect it and they in turn deliver. Additionally the facilities manager is a Concord association employee. We accept nothing less than the best from every staff member whether they be our employee or contract. The concierge service is top rate and we let them know how much we appreciate it every day.

I have to agree with Delila. If you want to see really horrible concierge service, you should see Belora. I have friends who live there and have never seen the guy there in about 20 visits.
